Felton Road Cornish Point Pinot Noir 2023 displays a medium ruby hue. The aromas offer notes of dark cherry, plum, and subtle earthy undertones, accompanied by hints of dried herbs and spice. On the palate, flavors of ripe berry fruit combine with a gentle acidity, creating a balanced structure that enhances its finesse. The finish is marked by a slight grip from fine tannins, suggesting good aging potential.

Felton Road is a pioneering organic and biodynamic winery located in Central Otago, New Zealand. The Cornish Point vineyard, situated near the shores of Lake Wanaka, benefits from a cool climate and diverse soils, contributing to the complexity of the wines. This Pinot Noir is crafted with minimal intervention, showcasing the vineyard`s unique terroir while reflecting the meticulous winemaking approach characteristic of Felton Road.

There's a succulence to the 2023 Pinot Noir Cornish Point. It's open and charming with plenty of concentration. There's certainly a nice depth of Pinot tannin and a line of bright acidity that provides structure, holding the wine in place. The 2023 is sweetly fruited with cherries, blackberries as well as florals on the medium-long finish.
