Etna Bianco Alta Mora 2019

Alta Mora is the relatively new project of the well-known Cusumano family and is one of the best starting points for exploring the wines of Mt Etna, Sicily. The Etna Bianco is made 100% from local variety, Carricante, sourced from two ‘contrade’, Praino and Verzella, that sit at around 600m above sea level. Vinification is carried out entirely in stainless steel to preserve the natural aromatic complexity and freshness of the variety, but it undergoes a period of 4 months on the fine lees to give additional complexity and texture. This is an excellent entry-level Sicilian white that would pair perfectly with fresh seafood.
