El Tamboril Blanco Comando G 2017

Comando G is the incredibly exciting winemaking project of Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia in the cooler hills of Sierra de Gredos, just a short distance from Madrid. El Tamboril is a blend of Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Gris sourced from a tiny 0.2-hectare vineyard of 70-year-old vines that sits at 1,200m elevation. From an excellent vintage, the 2017 is incredibly aromatically complex and practically pulsates with energy and freshness. Flavours centre on vibrant citrus fruits, with wonderful nuances of dried white flowers, beeswax and straw. A distinctive, saliva-inducing salinity runs throughout, making this the perfect wine to drink alongside fresh seafood. Only 395 bottles of this special wine were produced.
