Founded in 2004, Domaine Gayda is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, 25km south west of Carcassonne, and is the collaborative effort of owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record, alongside winemaker Vincent Chansault. This wine is named after the road that leads to the vineyards around their winery in the Brugairolles which is called “Chemin de Moscou”, or the “Road to Moscow”. It is a blend of 70% Syrah, 26% Grenache and 4% Cinsault created from the best barrels of each variety. Deep purple in colour, it has a wonderfully expressive nose of black fruits, pepper, spices and dried flowers. On the palate it is rich and bold, but superbly well balanced, with a long, mineral-tinged finish.
