Domaine de Chevalier 2000

Domaine de Chevalier 2000 is a mature Left Bank Bordeaux red wine from Pessac-Léognan. Domaine de Chevalier is a prestigious wine estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Graves region. The winery and vineyards are located south of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Léognan. This release is the 2000 vintage of its flagship wine. "The 2000 Domaine de Chevalier has long been one of my favorite wines and now at 16 years of age, it continues to live up to expectations. It has a beautiful nose, so lively and vivacious, with black plum and blackberry, cedar and damp undergrowth scents, an undercurrent of tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive definition, a fine thread of acidity, though still backward and intimating that there is "much more in the tank." Wine Advocate, 2006
