Based in Marlborough, in New Zealand`s South Island, Dog Point was established in the early 2000s by Ivan Sutherland and James Healy who had previously worked together at Cloudy Bay. This release is a citrus-driven Chardonnay with a complex array of smoky, flint, toast, and biscuit notes, all derived from extended barrel aging on full solids. The hallmarks of Dog Point Chardonnay are evident in its pure saline and crisp palate structure, and this vintage has the potential to age well.
