This is an interesting dry red wine made by Provins Domaine de l’Évêché in the Valais region of Switzerland. It is made from 100% Diolinoir which is a variety produced by crossing Pinot Noir and an the more obscure French variety, Rouge de Diolly. Produced as a singular varietal wine, it is relatively full-bodied and amply structured, intense dark fruits and a distinctive savoury edge.
