Chateau d’Esclans is located on an exceptional site, on elevated land near the Gorges de Pennafort, 25km northwest of the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast. Though most renowned for his rosé, winemaker Sacha Lichine also makes a beautiful Côtes de Provence red called Déesse Diane Rouge. It is a full-bodied, rich and juicy wine made from Syrah and Mourvèdre, exuding notes of black and red fruits, garrigue and spices.
