Dao Branco Antonio Madeira 2017

Antonio Madeira is a young winemaker producing high quality and characterful wines in the Serra da Estrela, Portugal’s highest mountain range located in the upper Dão region. ‘Branco’ is a field blend of 20 native varieties from vineyard with vines ranging from 50 to 120 years of age. The fruit is very gently handled with the majority of vinification and maturation done in stainless steel. This is an incredibly vibrant wine that practically pulsates with energy and beautifully translates the high minerality and freshness of its high-altitude, granite terroir. With intense citrus fruit and a slightly salty tang, this is a brilliant wine when paired with fresh seafood.
