- Medium-deep straw-yellow. Diesel fuel, pink grapefruit, papaya and licorice on the rich nose. Then full-bodied and suave, with a bright mineral overlay lifting the soft pear and papaya flavors. The long finish hints at bitter almond and menthol. In a fuller-bodied style than usual for this wine, this is very good but not one of my favorite Frédéric Emile vintages.
