The 2008 Cuvée Frédéric Emile remains tightly wound, displaying minimal richness commonly found in Alsatian Rieslings, yet it exudes strength and more. Early and frequent notes of citrus skins grace the palate, while the mid-palate unfolds to reveal a comprehensive range, including a prolonged interplay of powdered stone and other geological elements. The extended finish is adorned with a delightful kick of salinity. Although much remains in reserve, the prospect of additional ageing promises further developments to anticipate.
