Crozes Hermitage Maison Les Alexandrins 2020

Maison Les Alexandrins was established by Nicolas Jaboulet, formerly of the eponymous winery in Tain, the Perrin family from Château de Beaucastel, winemaker Guillaume Sorrel and viticulturist Alexandre Caso in 2015. Crozes-Hermitage is the largest of the Northern Rhône appellations and the grapes are sourced from vineyards located in both northern and southern areas within the appellation. 100% Syrah, aromas of ripe black cherry, red fruit and blackberries combine with notes of smoke and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine has a smooth texture, with intense fruit flavours that are balanced beautifully by silky, well-integrated tannins. Flavours of sour cherry and liquorice linger on the finish.
