Coume del Mas was created by Philippe and Nathalie Gard in 2001 and principally produce characterful wines from the steep slopes around Banyuls sur Mer in the far southwestern corner of France. Galateo is a deliciously rich fortified wine produced from 100% hand-harvested Grenache Noir from schist soil vineyards in AOC Banyuls. It is full-bodied, thick and opulent, offering up wonderful notes of spiced plums, blackberry coulis, liquorice, vanilla, dark chocolate and earth. A sensational pairing for chocolate desserts.
