Based in Ampuis, Domaine Garon is run by a close-knit family in the form of Jean-François and Carmen Garon with their sons Kevin and Fabien. Les Rochains is their flagship wine from a steep single vineyard in Côte-Rôtie, right next to the fabled Landonne slope. The nose is appealing, with berry fruit, pepper, spice and the vestiges of the oak maturation. The palate has a lot of acidity and an attractive juiciness.
