E Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque 2011 is a full-bodied single vineyard red wine produced from Syrah grapes in the northern Rhône Valley of France. Founded in 1946, Domaine Guigal is one of the most revered and unwaveringly consistent estates in the Rhône Valley and is often seen as a benchmark for quality Côte-Rôtie. The top three wines from Guigal are known affectionately in some circles as the La La`s, which is short for La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. The 2011 La Turque was aged for 42 months in new oak barrels. "The 2011 Cote Rotie la Turque is about as seamless and sexy as wine gets, and this cuvee continues to put on weight and richness with every passing year. Offering a monstrous nose of Asian spices, kirsch liqueur, blackcurrants, pepper and smoked meats, this full-bodied Cote Rotie has layers of sweet tannin, no hard edges and a killer finish. It`s already hard to resist today, but has three decades of prime drinking to go." Wine Advocate, 2016
