Founded by textile merchant Michel Bouchard in 1731, Bouchard Pe`re & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine estates. Since 1995 the well-established maison has been owned by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères and Champagne Henriot. This particular cuvée comes from the grand cru Corton-Charlemagne, where Bouchard owns a 3.65-hectare plot. The wines are typically rich and powerful, boasting intense fruit and toasted aromas, complemented by mineral notes.
