Contino Blanco 300cl 2017

Viñedos Contino was established in 1973 and is widely considered one of the instigators of the Rioja wine revolution and one of the greatest advocates of the ‘château’ concept in the region whereby wines are made from a single estate. The 2017 Blanco is a classic blend of 90% Viura and 10% Garnacha Blanca, with half matured in large oak barrels and the other half kept in stainless steel. This is a rich and textural wine but also exhibits abundant freshness and vibrancy. Flavours centre on orchard fruits and citrus, though subtle wild herb and toasty oak nuances also emerge, making this the perfect accompaniment to a variety of white fish dishes.
