This Condrieu comes from a tiny 0.33-hectare plot of Viognier planted high on the vertiginous slopes of St-Michel-sur-Rhône. Greater altitude and earlier picking produces a slightly more vibrant and fresh style of wine but retains varietally true notes of apricot, peach, citrus oil and white flower blossom. A wonderfully food-friendly wine, this would pair particularly well with whole-roasted white fish.
