Condrieu La Doriane Guigal 2018

The Guigal domain was founded in 1946 and is one of the most revered and unwaveringly consistent estates in the Rhône Valley. La Doriane represents their highest level Condrieu and is produced from old-vine Viognier from four of the finest vineyards in the appellation. It is fermented and matured exclusively in new oak barrels for 12 months which gives an overtly toasty note but with time in the glass, waves of intense stone fruits with subtle floral and mineral nuances begin to emerge. Full-bodied, satin-textured and powerful, this is yet another excellent release from Marcel and Philippe Guigal.
