Clos St Denis Heresztyn Mazzini 2016

Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini is a relatively new name in Gevrey-Chambertin, but the origin of the estate is the old Heresztyn domaine. Florence Heresztyn and her husband Simon Mazzini have made great improvements since they took over in 2012 – and are now making some quite refined and delicate wines, such as this 2016 Clos St Denis Grand Cru. It has a very well-defined aroma profile, with blackberries, pressed flowers and minerals that gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin and remarkably focused.
