Clerc Milon 2008 originates from a prestigious estate located strategically between the renowned Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild in Bordeaux. This vintage consists of a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine exhibits a notable integration of dark berry fruits, with an underlying character of earthy mineral notes and subtle spices. The tannins are firm yet well-defined, providing structure. Clerc Milon is produced under the direction of the Mouton Rothschild winemaking team, ensuring a commitment to quality in every bottle.
The 2008 Clerc-Milon has an intense pencil lead nose that is just quintessential Pauillac. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, dense black fruit, closing in towards the finish where I would have just liked more complexity and precision to show through.
