Cirsion Bodegas Roda 2000

Founded in 1987, Bodegas Roda is one of the newest wineries in Rioja but has rapidly established itself as a meticulous producer of incredibly high-quality Tempranillo and very much represents the modern side of the region, favouring a short maturation time versus more traditional extended barrel ageing. Cirsion was conceived in 1995 and is a selection of particular prime vineyard sites and specific barrels. From a classic vintage, the 2000 Cirsion perhaps does not have the intensity of the 1999 but is certainly no less charming with its svelte physique and delicious flavours of black cherry, tobacco, leather and earth.
