Chinon Clos de l`Echo Couly-Dutheil 2016

Established in 1921, Couly-Dutheil is one of the leading names in the Loire Valley region of Chinon. This cuvée of 100% Cabernet Franc is produced from the highly revered vineyard of Clos de l’Echo, which was purchased by the Couly family in 1952 and has vines up to 95 years of age. The 2016 is dark and intense, with a complex bouquet of red and black currents, liquorice, bay leaf and earth. On the palate it is rich and voluminous, with ample mid-palate concentration and a wonderfully refined web of filigree tannins, finishing crisp and clean with superb mineral-tinged length.
