Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded in 1999 by the inimitable Jean-Claude Basset. With holdings in some of the most prestigious appellations of Burgundy, viticulture and winemaking is meticulous and is both organic and biodynamic. The domaine’s exceptional 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru was made from a tiny 0.15-hectare parcel of vines that is still worked by horses and was matured in 50% new oak for 16 months. Just 530 bottles and 33 magnums were produced.
