Chevalier Montrachet Domaine Leflaive (Ex Estate) 2004
Domaine Leflaive is one of the most legendary estates in Puligny-Montrachet and has 22 hectares of vineyards, including 10 hectares of Premiers Crus and 5 hectares of prized Grands Crus. The 2004 Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru, made by the late Anne-Claude Leflaive, is a beautiful wine absolutely perfect for drinking now. It opens with strong smoky scents of reduction but subsides to reveal wonderful notes of white orchard fruits, citrus, honeysuckle and crushed stones. Satin-textured yet vibrant on the palate, with an excellent spine of acidity and an incredibly long, lingering finish.
