The 2016 Chêne Bleu Viognier is a deliciously textural and aromatic white wine produced from young vines planted at 550m elevation. Rich and refined, it offers up a lovely bouquet of stone fruits, blanched almond, and citrus blossom. It is lush and slightly oily but has retained excellent freshness and delicacy, making it an excellent option to pair with rich shellfish dishes but why not experiment and try it with a mild creamy curry, such as murgh makhani (butter chicken).
