Domaine Pierre Usseglio is a family-owned and operated estate and is one of the premier producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Cuvée de Mon Aieul is a brilliant wine made from 100% Grenache sourced from three selected plots that range from 75 to 96 years of age and is vinified mostly in concrete tanks and old demi-muids. The 2017 is remarkably intense and wonderfully complex, exuding delicious notes of red fruits, spice box, liquorice and wild herbs. Perhaps still a little young, this should age very well for up to a decade.
