Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee da Capo Pegau 900cl 2007

Owned and operated by the tireless Féraud family, Domaine de Pegau is unquestionably one of the leading producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Cuvée da Capo is their flagship wine and is only produced in years deemed of exceptional quality, with just seven vintages ever released. It is a traditional assemblage of the 13 permitted varieties all sourced from the supreme Le Crau sub-zone but contains a significant portion of Grenache. 2007 was an excellent vintage for the southern Rhône and this is a sensational release. Coming in at just under 16% ABV this is a powerful and concentrated wine but is blessed with captivating elegance and freshness.
