Chateau Libertas was launched in 1932, by an American medical doctor and adventurer who went into winemaking when he moved to Stellenbosch. The 1994 has an attractive, fully mature bouquet of fruit pastille, cured meats, herbs and melted tar. The palate is medium-bodied and fully mature but still fresh and harmonious with meaty and slightly ferrous red berry fruits.
