Château Haute-Serre’s first vintage of AOC Cahors was in 1976 and since then has been a driving force in gaining recognition for the region’s wines. Grand Vin Seigneur is a blend of 90% Malbec with lesser parts Merlot and Tannat. It is typically a full-bodied, rich and firmly structured wine, making it excellent to pair with chargrilled meats but also mature hard cheeses. 1990 was widely regarded as an exceptional vintage across the majority of southwest France and this should be perfectly ready to drink.
