Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Paul Pillot is one of Burgundy’s leading wine producers. Originally founded in 1900, it currently consists of 13 hectares covering parts of Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Santenay. This is the house’s 2020 ‘Les Mazures’, an exceptional lieu-dit, directly below the premier cru Champs Gains. The wine was fermented and aged in 350l barrels [10% new] for 12 months followed by 6 months in tank. The 2020 vintage defines itself as a remarkable year for white Burgundy, with tension and precision balanced by generosity.
