Domaine Ramonet is unquestionably one of the finest producers in the Côte de Beaune and, under the watchful eye of Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, has had a remarkable run of form over recent vintages. From Bourgogne up to Grand Cru the quality of wine produced is equalled by few others.
Produced using fruit from some of the domaine’s oldest vines (those planted by founder Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s), ‘Les Ruchottes’ is often one of the standout wines in the portfolio. The 2015 is perfectly in its drinking window, offering up classical notes of stone fruits, pear, citrus, mint and just a whisper of toasty oak. Though relatively-full bodied and broad, it is also elegant and sleek, wearing its weight incredibly well.
