The roots of Domaine Arlaud can be traced to 1942 when Renée Amiot from Burgundy and Joseph Arlaud, originally from Ardèche, came together. The current estate encompasses 15 hectares under vine. In 2004, they initiated organic farming practices in the vineyards, leading to their achievement of becoming the first certified biodynamic estate in Morey-Saint-Denis in 2014. This cuvée is sourced from the 1.14-hectare plot in the prestigious Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin. Many of the 2002 wines were blessed with a strong tannic backbone making them suitable for extended cellaring.
