Chapelle Chambertin Jadot 2002

Based in Beaune, Maison Louis Jadot has a long and fascinating history dating back to 1859. Today it is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus. This release comes from the Chapelle-Chambertin vineyard, situated on the slope between Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru and Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru. The 2002 vintage boasts notes of black fruit, mature red berries, a touch of orange zest, some graphite and hints of sous-bois. The high acidity provides energy and tension.
