Moreau-Naudet was established in the 1950s, following the marriage of Marie Naudet and René Moreau. The Domaine is currently run by Virginie Moreau, who took over after the untimely death of her husband Stéphane Moreau in 2016. Her Montmains is a signature wine that perfectly expresses the Chablis terroir. A pure and crisp Chardonnay with an attractive saline concentration. Montmains produces wines that are known for their balance of freshness, acidity, and minerality. The wines typically feature bright citrus and green apple notes, often with subtle floral elements and a characteristic flinty, steely finish are generally more approachable in their youth compared to some of the more austere Grand Cru sites, but they still possess the structure and depth to develop over time.
