Domaine William Fèvre has become a standard bearer for classically styled Chablis and is also now one of the biggest landowners in the region with 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards, including significant holdings in many Premiers Crus and in six of the seven Grands Crus. Vinification is very traditional with fermentation and maturation on fine lees undertaken in a combination of stainless and seasoned oak (ave. 6 years old).
The 2018 Grand Cru Les Clos is absolutely stunning with its incredible purity of fruit, aromatic complexity and mineral depth. Full-bodied, intense and tightly wound, it exhibits remarkable balance and soars to an exceptionally long, chalky-mineral finish. Certainly one for the long haul, with at least another 2-3 years before it is approaching its drinking window.
