Chablis Cote de Lechet Droin 2022

Domaine Droin Chablis Côte de Léchet 2022 is a medium-bodied dry white wine from the Premier Cru climat of Côte de Léchet in the Chablis appellation of Burgundy. One of the oldest domaines in Chablis, dating back to at least the 1600s, Droin has long been associated with high-quality, terroir-focused Chablis wines thanks to the work of owner Jean-Paul Droin. The domaine is now managed by his son, Benoît, who continues to uphold his family`s enviable reputation. On the 2022 Côte de Léchet. "Though these 65-year-old vines face directly south, its resulting wine shows vitality and freshness. The acidity is jaw-bindingly tangy, and it beautifully balances the flattering, rounded mid-palate. The nose starts with tree blooms and pink grapefruit before the palate layers in straw, sea breezes and Maldon salt. There is a light kiss of oak, too." Tim Atkin MW, 2024
