Château Certan de May is a historical Pomerol estate which started producing wine back in the 18th century. The 5-hectare property is currently owned by the Barreau-Badar family and managed by legendary winemaker Jean-Luc Barreau. The château’s latest release is this 2019 vintage, a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon presented here in a 6-litre bottle. The wine reveals notes of black cherries, black currants, tobacco and black pepper, leading to a long, mineral finish. A cellar-worthy claret that will age very well.
