Catena Adrianna Vineyard Malbec 2006

Founded in 1902, Bodega Catena Zapata is perhaps the most famous winery in Argentina and has been at the forefront of resurrecting the Malbec grape variety whilst also establishing itself as one of the pre-eminent fine wine producers in the country. This is a wonderful example of bottle-aged Malbec from the highly revered Adrianna Vineyard. Planted at almost 4,500ft elevation on an ancient riverbed, the wines from this site are typically incredibly well-balanced, refined and remarkably ageworthy.
