Founded in 1952, Casa Ferreirinha was the first producer in the Douro dedicated to making still table wines and Vinha Grande is the second oldest wine of this style behind their flagship, Barca Velha. The 2017 is a wonderful blend of 45% Touriga Franca, 30% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz and 5% Barroca that exudes class, complexity and refinement. It is velvety smooth with well-integrated acidity and offers up notes of blackberry, plum, cherry, dried flowers and cigar box. A superb release of a timeless classic.
