Quinta do Vesuvio is located in the heart of the Douro Superiore and has an outstanding reputation for producing exceptional wines stretching back to the 19th Century. This is a remarkable follow-up to the sensational 2016 and possibly even takes it up a level. It is immensely concentrated and powerful with exceptional levels of extract but fabulous structural framework to keep everything pinned tight. Relatively impenetrable at this stage, this will require at least 10 years cellaring but should comfortably age for around 3 decades or longer.
