A rare unpeated malt from Caol Ila which was bottled as part of Diageo`s `Special Releases` series. Aged for 15 years in refill American hogsheads before finishing in European oak - the result is a fruity, oily dram with a hint of wild herbs and a distant whiff of oak char. The watchwords here are ripe, fruity and textured.
