Much like its 2001 predecessor, 2002 is an oft-underrated vintage in Bordeaux. Sandwiched between the fabled Millennium vintage and the high lauded heatwave year of 2003, it offers excellent value for money and superb early drinking. Now somewhere near its peak, this is an attractive, medium-bodied and sleek wine from Saint-Émilion 1er Grand Cru Classé property, Château Canon, comprised of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.
