Château Calon-Ségur is unique in the Medoc as the vineyards are in one single plot surrounded by tall stone walls. This 2018 grand vin is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, aged 20 months in new French oak. It boasts a remarkable nose of blackcurrants, crème de cassis, tobacco, baking spices, chocolate and cedar wood. On the palate, it’s a full-bodied wine, rich and multi-dimensional, with moreish tannins and a long finish. Sold in fabulous large format.
