Calera is a prestigious wine producer in California, known for its high-quality expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was founded by Josh Jensen in 1975, and it is located in the Mount Harlan AVA in the Gavilan Mountains. The Jensen Vineyard is one of Calera`s most famous single vineyards, planted with Pinot Noir vines in 1975 on limestone-rich soils. The Californian vintage for 1991 was particularly good, and the wines have now achieved full maturity.
