The Calera Winery in the incredible Mt Harlan AVA is well-known for its world-class Pinot Noir but does also produce an exceptionally small amount of both dry and sweet Viognier. This deliciously heady and seductive wine is made from grapes harvested at the same time as for the dry wine but are then frozen for several months in order to increase the concentration of the juice. It is thick, sweet and rich with notes of peach, mandarin and honey.
