The Gaja family have owned the Pieve Santa Restituta estate since 1994 from which they produce two single-vineyard Brunello di Montalcino wines, Rennina and Sugarille. The 2008 vintage was widely regarded as highly successful and this is a powerful and dense Brunello with healthy extraction of fruit and a keen mineral streak.
