2011 was an exceptionally warm year in Tuscany and this is a slightly more fruit intense Brunello di Montalcino from La Fiorita. It opens with wonderful notes of wild berries, scorched earth, leather and dried herbs. It is graceful and smooth in the mouth with lovely persistent flavours. Decant and serve alongside wild boar ragu.
