Owned by Leopoldo and Livia Franceschi, Il Poggione is a winery steeped in history with its origins dating back to the late 1800s. The 2016 vintage is ruby red in colour, with a persistent nose filled with dried cherries, blackberries, almonds and cocoa. It’s a full-bodied wine with firm tannic backbone and great length. Best enjoyed after 2024
