Bruichladdich Octomore 9.3
Another release of Bruichladdich`s famous Octomore whisky produced using Islay barley - in this case, 52 tonnes of the stuff that was raised on the Octomore farm in 2011. The malt is peated to a 133 ppm before distillation and the super peaty spirit is then aged for five years in a combination of ex-American oak, 3rd fill virgin oak, 2nd fill Rivesaltes, 2nd fill Syrah and 2nd fill Bourbon - phew! As expected, Bruichladdich have bottled this edition of Octomore at cask strength and without colouring or filtration.
